Description:
During the third day of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, activities were organized to commemorate the week-long observance of the 76th Independence Day. The flag was hoisted by Mr. Ashish Aggarwal.Today's celebration was marked with a video presentation on Balaknama: a newspaper run by street children followed by an article highlighting the pivotal role of St. Edward's School in initiating transformation and cultivating benevolence through its Community Service endeavors, with special emphasis on the significant presence of the school's Outreach programme.
St. Edward's School is fostering change and cultivating kindness through Community Service. Guided by the timeless wisdom of Helen Keller, "Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much," our school community has come together to make a significant impact through a series of initiatives and collaborations.
Under the banner of compassion and dedication, our Principal, teachers, and students have come together to achieve significant milestones in our pursuit of giving back to society. Through strategic partnerships with organizations like the Rotary Club, we have successfully raised funds for charitable causes, exemplifying our commitment to making a positive change. The spirit of generosity and empathy was evident in our collection of warm clothes and blankets, which brought comfort to those in need during challenging times. The act of donating clothes by our students has left a heartfelt impact on the less fortunate members of our community. Embracing diversity and inclusivity, we organized an interaction and lunch with special Paralympic students, fostering understanding and compassion. By coming together with those who inspire us through their resilience, we have paved the way for a more accepting world.
The sale of diyas not only brightened the lives of those who purchased them but also contributed to our fundraising efforts for various charitable endeavors.
Demonstrating that every effort counts, many of our students were actively involved in creating and selling newspaper packets to raise funds. Their dedication and hard work have proven that small actions can yield significant outcomes.
The artistic talents of our students also played a pivotal role, as the funds raised from selling their paintings were dedicated to supporting charitable causes. These contributions have left a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Let us recognize that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of positivity, leading to meaningful change in the lives of others. Together, as one united St. Edward's School community, we stand as a beacon of hope, inspiring the world around us. let us persist in spreading the light of change.
